Julian In-Person Retreat in Norwich 7th & 8th October 2022

'Comfort and Curtesie'
Holy Hospitality and the Homeliness of Heaven

A QUIET, TWO-DAY, IN-PERSON RETREAT

Facilitated by Canon Gill Butterworth, CJN at

St John's, Timberhill, and at St Julian's Church, Norwich

Comfort and Courtesy, Homeliness and Hospitality are themes which balance and counter-balance each other; that link together, having tension that both pulls and holds. In this time of retreat together we shall look at some of the ways in which Julian experienced and considered these attributes of God, as she saw them, and reflect on what impact they may have on us and how they might enrich our own lives and faith as we seek to understand further the love of God and the God of Love.

  • Thanks Gill, would have lovely to join you but not possible for October. Those that do, as Julian says “… to love God better” xx whatever better is for each person is such a prayer of each day

  • I would love to be there but just can’t manage.
It’s a wonderful theme and there will be so much to learn and share.
I agree that it’s excellent that Gill is leading it!

  • Hope it will go well; we shall be holding this retreat in our own prayer as we get on with whatever the Lord has placed in our path over that time!
