The 650th Anniversary Julian Lecture is now available in a lavishly illustrated booklet

The Friends of Julian were delighted that Professor Barry Windeatt delivered our Julian Festival Lecture in the 650th anniversary year of Julian’s Revelations of Divine Love.

His illustrations were so vivid and, in some cases shocking, that we have decided to do them justice by reproducing all 20 of them in this high-quality 28 page booklet.

Barry’s research focuses on the literature of later medieval England in its European dimension and in relation to its contemporary visual culture, with interests in Chaucer, Julian of Norwich, and Margery Kempe.
